Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how MyLocalGrowth (operated by 9x Innovations LLC, “9x Innovations,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our websites and through our GMB (Google Business Profile) management software-as-a-service platform (collectively, the “Service”). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.

This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy which provides more detailed information about our privacy practices.

By using our Service, you acknowledge the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this Cookie Policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use an application. They are widely used to make websites and applications work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website/application owner (in this case, 9x Innovations LLC) are called “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by parties other than the website/application owner are called “third-party cookies.” Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website/application (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics).

We may also use other similar technologies like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”), tags, and scripts. These technologies often work in conjunction with cookies. For simplicity, we refer to all these tracking technologies as “cookies” in this policy.

3. How We Use Cookies

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Service to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Service and to provide analytics. Third parties serve cookies through our Service for advertising (related to our own services), analytics, and other purposes described below.

4. Types of Cookies We Use

a) Essential or Strictly Necessary Cookies:

Purpose: These cookies are essential to provide you with services available through our Service and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas (logging in), user authentication, session management, and security.

Opt-out: Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function, you cannot refuse them without impacting usability. You can typically block or delete them by changing your browser settings, but parts of the Service may not work.

b) Performance and Analytics Cookies:

Purpose: These cookies collect information, usually in aggregate form, to help us understand how our Service is being used, how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Service for you.

Examples: Google Analytics.

Opt-out: See Section 6 (“How Can I Control Cookies?”) below.

c) Functionality or Preference Cookies:

Purpose: These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Service but are non-essential to its use. For example, they may remember choices you make, such as your login details or language preference, to provide a more personalized experience.

Opt-out: See Section 6 (“How Can I Control Cookies?”) below.

d) Targeting or Advertising Cookies (First-Party Marketing):

Purpose: These cookies are used to make advertising messages about MyLocalGrowth's own services more relevant to you on other websites or platforms. They perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing and ensuring that ads are properly displayed.

Examples: Cookies set by advertising platforms like Google Ads or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) when we run campaigns promoting MyLocalGrowth.

Opt-out: See Section 6 (“How Can I Control Cookies?”) below.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies placed on your device through our Service may be from third-party service providers. We use third-party services for essential functions (like payment processing via Stripe), analytics (like Google Analytics), and potentially for our own advertising campaigns on platforms like Google or Meta. These third parties may use cookies to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Service.

We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about a third-party cookie, you should contact the responsible provider directly. Key third parties are listed in Annex 1 of our Privacy Policy's DPA.

6. How Can I Control Cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies, other than strictly necessary cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences in several ways:

a) Browser Controls:

Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. You can set your browser to accept or refuse cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is set. You can usually find these settings in the “options,” “settings,” or “preferences” menu of your browser. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org. Please note that if you choose to block cookies, it may impair or prevent certain functionalities of the Service.

b) Opting Out of Specific Third-Party Cookies:

Opting out does not mean you will no longer see advertising; it means the advertising you see may be less relevant to your interests.

c) Cookie Consent Tool (If Implemented):

If we implement a specific cookie consent management tool on our Service, you will be able to manage your cookie preferences (other than strictly necessary cookies) directly through that tool upon visiting our site.

7. “Do Not Track” Signals

Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have their online activity tracked. As there is no uniform industry standard for recognizing or responding to DNT signals, we do not currently respond to browser DNT signals.

8. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the use of certain advertising and analytics cookies might be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA, though we do not exchange data for monetary value in the traditional sense. Please see our Privacy Policy (Section 9) for more information about your rights, the categories of data involved, and how to exercise your rights, including potentially opting out of such activities if applicable.

9. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
